Introduction Video Guide

Create Your Introduction Video

Make a great first impression with your public introduction video

What is an Introduction Video?
Your introduction video is a public video that appears at the top of your profile

Unlike your verification video (which is private and reviewed by our team), your introduction video is public and helps students get to know you before booking a session. It's your chance to showcase your personality, teaching style, and what makes you unique.

Visibility: This video is visible to all students who view your profile

Introduction Video Guidelines
Tips for creating an engaging introduction video

Be Authentic

Show your genuine personality. Students connect with real, relatable educators.

Keep It Concise

Aim for 1-2 minutes. Introduce yourself, share your teaching philosophy, and what students can expect.

Good Quality

Ensure clear audio and decent lighting. A smartphone with good lighting works great.

Professional Yet Friendly

Dress appropriately and choose a clean background, but be warm and welcoming.

What to Include in Your Video
Suggested content for your introduction video

Recommended Structure:

  • Brief introduction (name, what you teach)
  • Your teaching approach or philosophy
  • What students can expect from your sessions
  • A quick example or teaser of your teaching style
  • A friendly closing and call to action

Example Script:

"Hi everyone, I'm [Name], and I specialize in [Subject]. I believe that learning should be engaging and fun, which is why I focus on [Your Approach]. In our sessions together, you can expect [What Students Get]. Let me show you a quick example... [Teaching Teaser]. Ready to get started? Feel free to book a session with me!"

Privacy & Visibility
Understanding who can see your introduction video

Your introduction video is completely separate from your verification video:

  • Introduction Video: Publicly visible on your profile to all students
  • Verification Video: Private, only reviewed by our verification team

Note: You can choose to keep your introduction video public or unlisted. If you want it to only appear on your Veritutor profile (and not be searchable on YouTube), set it as "Unlisted" when uploading.
